The U.LO (Unidentified Lighting Object) Pendant is all about finding beauty in repurposed materials. This project came to life when I flipped my usual process on its head—instead of designing first and choosing materials later, I let the materials lead the way. The pendant is crafted from bowls and plates I found at thrift stores, each piece adding its own story and character to the design. The challenge to create something entirely from what was already available taught me to see form and function in new ways while keeping waste to a minimum. It’s a piece that represents more than just design; it’s about embracing sustainability and rethinking how we make things.
